HAV Hydrogen AS is a start-up company founded on the basis of several years of R&D work in marine, hydrogen-based energy systems in the HAV group. The company cooperates with a wide range of suppliers, shipping companies, public funding agencies and private investors to enable zero-emission voyages in the future.
The company is part of a major research project, FreeCO2ast, which is working to develop a system for using hydrogen as a fuel for ships on long-distance voyages.
HAV Hydrogen is now expanding their staff, and Hanne Reite Keyn is one of the first to be appointed.
Robust complete supplier
Keyn comes from the position of Purchasing Manager of Havyard Leirvik and has extensive maritime experience from the shipyard industry, supplier market and public funding agencies.
Hanne Reite Keyn will help to make HAV Hydrogen a robust complete supplier of systems and system integration.

Zero-emission solutions even for longer distances
Keyn looks forward to being a part of a new company’s exciting start-up and development phase.

In addition to developing and delivering hydrogen-based energy systems for vessels, HAV Hydrogen also provides evidence-based advice on the choice of technical solutions, carries out pre-studies and approval work, and consults on financing solutions.
‘And, most importantly, we are helping to steer the industry through the green transition, and can help to create zero-emission solutions even for ships sailing longer distances. This way we can reduce emissions in the shipping industry and globally.’
